Hydrangea is a dietary supplement formulated to promote urinary system health. Hydrangea is available in veggie capsules from Natura-Genics®.
Key Ingredients
Hydrangea, also known as “hortensia”, is a flowering plant that has been used for both decorative and medicinal purposes. The roots and rhizomes of hydrangea are the parts of the plant used in herbal medicine. It is believed to be beneficial in the treatment of urinary conditions.
Benefits of Hydrangea
Supports Urinary System Health
For hundreds of years, hydrangea has been used to promote urinary system health including kidney health and gallbladder health. Certain blood markers, when elevated, are associated with kidney injury. Some studies have found that hydrangea may have the ability to lower some of these markers. Skimmin, an active molecule found in hydrangea, appears to reduce blood urea nitrogen, blood creatinine, and urinary albumin excretion, which in high levels indicate kidney dysfunction. Additionally, hydrangea has both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that also support urinary system health.
